Torque Modified Winter Beater Show
The folks from Torque Modfified Car Show combined forces with Fraser Ford (Oshawa and Cobourg) and Protint (Bowmanville) to kick-off Toy Mountain.
Torque Modified Winter Beater Show, Sunday October 19th proved to be a success beyond Dan Bovay’s (Torque Modified) expectations.
“We expected thirty, maybe forty cars,” said Dan Bovay. “We had well over seventy vehicles show!”
The entry fee was an unopened toy and in this one event more toys were collected then all the toys collected by Fraser Ford in 2013. This was the first year for the event, and was the prekick-off for the Toy Mountain.
Vehicles spanned 103 years in age, from a 1912 Ford Model T Sportster, owned by Allan Fawcett, Whitby Ont. to two 2015 Ford Mustangs, courtesy of Fraser Ford.
Allan Fawcett has owned the car for 17 years. Powered by a 20 HP. engine the car is capable of achieving a blistering 57 miles-per-hour.
With success of this event Torque Modified is planning on doing a season opener next April 2015.
