Freddy Vette’s Rockin’ Road Show in Picton!
Freddy Vette brought his Rockin’ Road Show to Picton Cruise Nite Thursday night to open his fifth season of live appearances at cruise nights in the region.
For five years, Freddy and his faithful side-kick Russell (he gets car sick on the long drives), have brought his live broadcast of Rock n’ Roll hits to cruise nights in the region. Over 100 cars and their owners plus a large number of spectators came out to enjoy the evening. It was a special night for cruise night organizers, Debbie and Brian Lindensmith, who were celebrating their 21st wedding anniversary!
“I love seeing all the great cars as they come in,” said Freddy. “It is a pleasure to meet all the people, I get a real thrill to see some of the people who call in to my show.”
“I love the energy of the crowd! I listen to Freddy Vette on CJBQ 8oo am radio every day!” |
“I like coming to any car show, Freddy does a good job of drawing a crowd.” |
“I love to hear Freddy Vette’s show and seeing all the other car lovers.” |
“I’ve been here since 3:30 pm., I get to see cars that normally don’t come to Picton.” |
At the end of every cruise night there are door prizes handed out and the 50/50 draw. Despite Freddy spending all of Russell’s pay cheque he didn’t manage to win the $287.50 prize! Freddy Vette and his Rockin’ Road Show will be at the Madoc Village Classic Cruise Night on June the 10th. Be there or be square!
