Brian Beatty organized this car show with his friend David Dick to raise money for research of melanoma, the cancer that took the life of his daughter Melonie. Edwards Ford, Kingston Ont. and the A&W, 1586 Centennial Dr., Kingston Ont. were co-sponsors of the car show. $590.00 was raised as well as entrant fees for the Kingston Melanoma Cancer Clinic. With plenty of door prizes and 21 categories, plus three major awards there were plenty of winners.

Jeff Delahunt, Carleton Place Ont. won both the Melonie Beatty Memorial Trophy and Best Modified Truck 1949-1990.

One of the most interesting categories at any car show is special interest and the Limestone City Car Classic was no exception. Remi Ouellette, Montreal QC, won first place with his 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche.

“I wanted to make something nobody else has, to go to the extreme!” said Remi Ouellette.

The build took two and half years to complete. Six hours a day and 35 hours every weekend. Remi Ouellette works as a mechanic for JB Michor in Montreal QC who helped with the project.

Other great cars.
